Basil Holford - M.Com; C.A. (S.A.)

Accredited Associate of the Institute for Independent Business, a member of SAICA and licenced  Senior Business Rescue practitioner for large companies.

Basil has many years experience as a business consultant and as a senior executive and director in industry and commerce. He has also lectured to MBA students and is the author of various business articles.

Before starting his own consultancy with the late Ken Botha, formelrly of Deloittes, Basil held the position of CFO and Financial Director at Putco Ltd, a company listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. He played a major role in improving the profits of the company significantly  to the best profits it had ever achieved in its 70 odd years in existence. The successful design and implementation of the BBBEE scheme at Putco can also be attributed to him as the author of the scheme.

Basil has also held senior executive positions in companies such as Consol Ltd, Freight Services (before its merger with Rennies) and Associated Automotive Distributors (formerly the Leyland Motor Corporation).

His clients have ranged from the large multinational corporations to the small one man operations.
